Agents of Change Foundation Zambia is an award-winning nonprofit dedicated to empowering the youth of Zambia through media and radio skills. Founded in 2013, our mission is to cultivate ethical leaders who advocate for social change, particularly in climate action and governance. With over 1,000 trained Youth Journalists and a network of more than 5,000 volunteers, we leverage radio and other media platforms to engage communities in meaningful dialogue. Our impactful projects, like Unite4Climate and Speak Up Girls, have gained local and international recognition, establishing vital partnerships that drive community transformation and foster a sustainable future.
Primary Target Groups:
Youth & Women: In Africa who are interested in media, journalism, and advocacy.
Geographic Focus: Youth and Women from both urban and rural areas, with an emphasis on underserved and disadvantaged communities in Africa.
Secondary Target Groups:
Community Leaders and Educators: Individuals who can support and mentor youth and women in media and advocacy roles.
Policy Makers and Government Officials: Stakeholders who can influence the formulation of laws, policies and support youth and women-centered policies and programs.

Demographics: Youth and Women from diverse socio-economic backgrounds including the level of education attained and geographic regions in Zambia and around the African continent
Interests: Mainstream Media, journalism, climate change, social justice.
Needs: Access to training, mentorship, assertive skills, platforms for self-expression story-telling, advocacy, policy formulation, governance, mental health, sexual & reproductive health as well as other emerging global issues.
Mission Statement
To facilitate the inclusion of youth and women in policy development governance, climate change, human rights, sexual reproductive health and rights, as well as other emerging issues. Our aim is to foster sustainability, to strengthen youth and women through capacity building trainings, community outreach campaigns, radio, podcasts and social media.
Vision Statement
To help build and equip youth and women with knowledge and assertive skills to propel and drive positive change through story-telling, community mobilization, advocacy, leadership training and tailored mentorship.
Through the Children’s Day Coordination initiative, I had the chance to present my concerns about climate change to local leaders. It was incredible to see how they listened and engaged with us. This experience has motivated me to continue advocating for our environment.
